Interfruit is our prepared food business based just outside of Johannesburg in South Africa.  It was established in the mid 1980's and has grown consistently over the years.  The Company became involved in Interfruit in 2005. 

Despite the name Interfruit does not produce any fruit products; its core business is prepared vegetables.  The name derives from the founding business in fruit export which has now been discontinued. 

Interfruit is a dedicated Woolworth's supplier.  Woolworths are the premium retailer in South Africa, with a very similar format to Marks and Spencer in the UK. Interfruit produce over eighty products for Woolworths; ranging from core prepared vegetables and salads through to ready meals, hand fried potato crisps and croutons.  The business operates from 7,500 square metres of specially built factory space and employs over 400 colleagues.  Whilst continuing to grow the core business; Interfruit will also look to improve the more prepared food offer in South Africa, where the consumer is increasingly demanding more choice and convenience.
